The reasons for loose teeth are as follows:

Periodontal disease

Other dental problems

Some oral diseases or systemic diseases can also cause loose teeth, such as acute periapical periodontitis, osteomyelitis of the jawbone, tumours in the jawbone can also cause loose teeth.

So how do we treat loose teeth?

1、When loose teeth are caused by trauma

If the loosening is mild, anti-inflammatory drugs (spiramycin, lincomycin, etc.) can be taken, but once the inflammation subsides, the teeth can be automatically restored to a stable state.

2、For teeth caused by periodontal disease

If mild loosening, through effective periodontal disease treatment, most will return to normal;

If moderate loosening, in the treatment of periodontal disease at the same time, should also be the loose teeth and neighbouring teeth ligated together, to reduce the load of loose teeth, to prevent the aggravation of tooth loosening.

3、Loosening of teeth during acute attack of periodontitis or apical periodontitis.

Treatment is mainly to control the inflammation, once the acute inflammation is relieved, tooth loosening can be reduced or disappear.

4. Loosening of teeth when the biting force of individual teeth is too large or the biting relationship is abnormal.
